Student Careers and Pathways

There are so many opportunities that exist for students. Working through all the information and possibilities can be quite a daunting process and our qualified staff are here to help. Guidance can be offered in the form of formal and informal meetings formal interviews, emails, via Compass and Google Classroom. Parents/Guardians are also welcome to contact the Pathways Team to discuss options with their children.

The Careers and Pathways Team offer visits to universities and other training providers for students beginning in Year 7 through to Year 12. They also arrange and promote careers expos, guest speakers and work experience opportunities. Every Year 9 student has the opportunity to complete a Morrisby Profile which is used as the basis of Career Action Plans (CAPs) and in Year 10, students complete an intensive program focused on their future pathways during Careers Week.

The qualified Career's Practitioners are able to assist students with subject selections, Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses, finding apprenticeships and part-time work, preparing job applications and preparing for job interviews, TAFE and university courses and interest, aptitude and skills exploration. All of the work we do in Careers and Pathways is completely student-focused, exploring the best pathways for students as individuals and their specific needs.
