VCE Vocational Major Personal Development Skills students have decided to raise awareness of the supports available in the mental health sphere. They chose to create moustaches with the message 'have a convo - save a mate' attached to alert students to the work of the Movember movement, which works to implement game-changing health initiatives for men. Every student in homeroom also received a blue ribbon and chocolate from the Beyond Blue, an organisation set up to provide information and support about anxiety, depression and suicide to the Australian community. Two students, Luke and Ryan, set up a stall selling moustache-shaped lollies and a 'guess the number of lollies in the jar' competition to raise money for Beyond Blue. Thanks to the VCE VM PDS class, and Luke and Ryan in particular, for this great project.
