Student Representative Council (SRC)

The Student Representative Council (SRC) at North Geelong Secondary College is a student lead program providing opportunities for students to develop into young inspiring leaders. The students are the voice of the college and their local community, empowering others to make positive change. The SRC is run by the students with the SRC Coordination, Assistant Principal and Year Level Coordinators as facilitators.

The SRC meet regularly throughout each term discussing issues relevant to the college community and matters crucial to the students. They are the voice of the college community and strive to make positive changes and influence decision makers, thus making their schooling more enjoyable, safe and meaningful. SRC students are action focused and aspire to make real change.

Students in the SRC belong to two groups. They will be part of a year level group and an “Area group” of which they have a passion. The four Area groups include:

  • Community and Culture
  • Sport
  • Arts
  • Academic
