What is GAP?

GAP is a program designed to encourage students to use the resources in the Library Resource Centre, to complete their homework or do extra study.  The resources available include reference materials, newspapers and Internet access.  There are a number of desktop computers available for student use.

When is it and where?

Monday to Friday from 3.20 pm to 4.30 pm in the Library Resource Centre.

What happens?

Students arrive at the Library, sign in and settle down to complete work.  Students may choose to research information using the resources on the Library shelves or by using the Internet.

Although students will not be directly “supervised”, a staff member will be available to assist if required.  Students may bring a light snack and drink into the Library.

Why have it?

This program provides access to resources and Internet facilities and helps establish sound study and homework habits.  It is an excellent opportunity for students to complete unfinished work or to do extra study.

Please contact the Library Resource Centre by telephoning 5240 5800 if you have any queries or if you would like your child to participate in the GAP Homework Program.
